Welcome to the Online Flute School!

 Welcome to flute class!

Hello friends and students!
Welcome to online flute class, I hope that these classes can help you learn and have fun playing music and the flute. If you would like to participate in online group classes, here is what you need to know:

We use the platform FlipGrid, which is completely free to use.
It functions as an app as well as a site; if you have the availability of more than one device please try it out on all devices because the better the video quality, the better assistance I can offer.

Class is offered in a variety of levels
Please click through all available levels to find the class that suits you best! (The first lesson should feel medium-tricky)
Just Starting Out (You have a flute, but you’re just starting out)
Level 2 (starting out but you can play at least 5 notes)
Level 3 (playing for at least 1 year)
Level 4 (NYSSMA level 1 or 2, can learn a song on your own and know at least 1 scale)
Level 5 (NYSSMA level 2 or 3, you know sharps and flats, at least 2 scales, and eighth notes)
Level 6 (NYSSMA level 4 or 5, you know at least 3 scales, up to sixteenths and dotted rhythms, compound time)
Level 7 (NYSSMA level 5 or 6, advanced and conservatory level repertoire)

Classes are completely free, personalized responses are offered for a “tip”
My goal is to provide a resource for all interested musicians, so the instructional videos, group chat, and provided resources will be completely free forever! However, because of the time involved in providing individualized responses, this option is only available to those who Buy me a Coffee or Contribute to Patreon. Don’t worry! There are many different levels of contribution, and it is designed to be extremely affordable. If this is still a burden, please feel free to reach out personally. I just want to share music with the world in this hard time, enjoy each other’s company, and buy some groceries sometimes.

Weekly Schedule:
Monday: Classes assignments go live
Wednesday: Scheduled group video chats for each class, for questions and extra help (Times TBD)
Friday: Recorded assignments are due, will be graded and comments given over the weekend
