On Sunday, July 3, 2016 the tradition continues with the annual Celebrate America! concert at 7:30 p.m. outside of the Ocean County Library’s Mancini Hall in Toms River. For decades this FREE, outdoor, bring your own chair event has drawn more than 1,000 to celebrate America’s Independence Day while enjoying a mixed bag concert of patriotic fan favorites as well as classical and classically-inspired music performed by the Jersey Shore’s premiere professional orchestra and the Garden State Philharmonic Chorus. This concert is sponsored, in part, by the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation and the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders. The annual Celebrate America! concert serves to kick-off the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation’s Carousel of Music Summer Series and the Philharmonic’s new program season.
